How To Have Guest Falling for Your Party

It is the season when the air begins to become slightly chilled and the appeal of a warm drink is at it's highest.  As the nights grow longer it is the best time to have company over and make memories before it becomes too cold. But any party is not complete without decorations!  As you are thinking between work and family I don't have time for anything DIY.  Here are some simple and creative center pieces and accents that can be done within a few minutes and add a special touch to your get together.  For this decoration you could...

AND SO IT BEGINS...

AND SO IT BEGINS...

When I decided to quit my full-time, good paying, corporate job and venture into being a business owner, my family thought I was crazy!  But this is something I have wanted to do for years.  I have always been able to take the unusual, or the forgotten, and repurpose it. I painted and "upcycled" stuff before it was cool.  Mainly because I was a single mom on a tight budget and had to make something out of nothing.  It was my creative outlet for a very stressful job and I loved reclaiming items.   It only really hit me about 5 years...

I’ve had these little blue vases that I picked up on sale months ago so I grabbed my handy dandy glue gun, my roll of jute and got busy!  I used a thicker jute on the hanging candle holder below.  It’s amazing what a little jute and cute...

It's a Reclaimed Christmas

I have to admit that I’ve been in a funk lately and really haven’t been in the mood to create, but I think this Dame is starting to get her groove back!I’m not one for the traditional Christmas tree with all the trimmings. Oh sure, I did the traditional tree and decorations when my son was little, but now that he is grown and out on his own living in Denver, I don’t see the need for a huge Christmas tree. This year I figured I would think “outside the box.” I kept it very minimal and used all reclaimed...
